It's time for Grilliant Foods to defend our title of Grand Champion of the Indiana State Fair BBQ Backyard Competition. We will be there (not open in the restaurant that day) starting in the wee hours of Saturday, August 8 and will be turning in creations until 2 pm on Main Street - we have set up most years very close to the Hooks Pharmacy. It's a great chance to be able to see how competitions work. Shoup's Country Foods puts on the competition and will be there providing samples. We have their sauce and seasoning in the store and use their sauce in our house pulled pork.
We will be competing in : Build Your Own Hogburger, Chicken, Ribs, Pork Loin and Open Class. We will post pictures of our turn in boxes on Facebook throughout the day.
